Matt Diskin has moved to further strengthen the pack at Batley Bulldogs with the addition of powerful forward Toby Everett.

After 21 appearances for London Broncos and spells at Hemel & Skolars, Toby moved to Toronto Wolfpack at the beginning of this season, making a number of appearances for the Canadian side before injury forced a return to England. Once recovered he joined Bulldogs’ near neighbours Dewsbury Rams, becoming a main stay in the side with 20 outings to date, including an impressive showing in the recent fixture at The Fox’s Biscuits Stadium.

At 6’3 Toby adds size and strength to the squad and can play at Prop or Loose Forward though has been signed mainly to feature in the front row.

“We’re really pleased to have Toby on board” said head coach Diskin, “He’s a powerful athlete with a wealth of experience already and will be a strong addition to our squad”

The signing comes hot on the heels of the capture of Half-backs Louis Jouffret and Danny Yates, and wingman Iliess Macani as The Bulldogs continue to build for 2019.
