The Bulldogs have added more flair and pace with the signature of Half Back Danny Yates for the 2019 campaign.
The 24 year old has been with Rochdale Hornets since 2015 and played a key role in their promotion to the Championship. His dynamic performances yielded 24 appearances and 12 tries and saw him scoop the 2016 League 1 Young Player of the Year award for the 2016 season.
A regular and consistent performer in the Championship for the past 2 years has seen Danny catch the eye of a number of clubs and Batley Head Coach Matt Diskin is thrilled with the signing.
“We’re delighted to have Danny joining the squad for next season. He is a player we have admired for some time”
It follows on from the capture of exciting French Half Back Louis Jouffret last week and a number of the current squad who have also committed to the club
“We’re really pleased with how things are building for next season. Louis and Danny joining shows we’re adding extra quality and experience to an already impressive group as we look to have the best options in all positions.”
