Having just completed a 12-month testimonial by the RFL for his services to the game, 2012 was an outstanding year for the popular centre. Local lad Maun has never made any secret of his love of the Mount Pleasant club, and his testimonial events proved his popularity within Batley. Started his career at Wigan, and is now in his second spell with the Bulldogs having also appeared for both the Dewsbury Rams and Featherstone Rovers. A powerful three-quarter with excellent defensive capabilities and a knack for being on hand to finish moves, Danny’s performances during the 2010 season played an instrumental role in Batley’s winning Northern Rail Cup run, particularly his dazzling display in the Semi-Final at Leigh.
