We at Batley Bulldogs could not be more excited about the coming season both on and off the rugby field. We are aiming to build on the 2011 season when we have been recognised by our governing body as 'Club of the Year' finished 3rd in the Championship and won the Northern Rail Cup in spectacular style.

We have been able to secure the services of John Kear the most experienced British coach in our game and a Leader who has shown his ability to motivate all around him and bring success and silverware to the Clubs he has previously coached. Added to that we have signed players with a mixture of experience and youth who undoubtedly will give of their very best for their coach and our Club. We make no secret of the fact we are confident that the 2012 season will be a further milestone in the history of our Club and one in which we fully expect to be in with a chance of winning a competition.

Off the field we intend to continue to improve our facilities in particular by the extension of the Bryan Cooney Suite and a development of the Vice Presidents Lounge. This is with the specific aim not of just improving the match day experience for our sponsors and supporters alike but also to increase our presence in the Batley Community away from match days. In the next year we are optimistic that it will be a memorable one for all who want to join us in anyway at the Club and I would encourage you to "Be Part Of It!"
