FANS TO VOTE FOR PLAYER OF THE MONTH
ImageFans will line up alongside, the League Weekly reporters and Co-operative ‘Good for everyone’ ambassador Paul Sculthorpe to vote for the ‘Player of the Month’ for the 2009 season. In a novel twist on the familiar, fans will be asked to submit a vote for their player of the month. The votes will be calculated and submitted to the Championship coaching panel along with a nomination from former Great Britain captain Paul Sculthorpe and the League Weekly team.

BULLDOGS JUST COME UP SHORT EN FRANCE
ImageA gallant display from the Bulldogs in the South of France this evening as they fell to a narrow 32-24 defeat at the hands of in-form Toulouse Olympique.  Locked at 12-12 at the interval, Toulouse raced clear in the second period before two quick-fire Batley tries briefly threatened an upset but earned a richly-deserved bonus point.
