A group of members of the ‘Batley Bulldogs Independent Away Travel’, Nick Sowerby, Mick Binks, Mick Gothard, Steve Curnin, Ha Nif Akudia and Ben Thirkill, are embarking on a four day, one hundred and
five-mile walk to Barrow in advance of the Bulldogs game with the Raiders on Sunday 5th May.
The team will be taking in places such as Skipton, Ingleton and Ulverston on the way.

The objective to raise money for Breast Cancer Care. This is in alignment with the magnificent ‘Pink Weekend’ Charity event that the club now runs on an annual basis.

The event has received the full backing and support of the Batley club, with the group liaising with Chairman, Kevin Nicholas and Director, John Miller on a regular basis.

Rather than enjoying the luxuries of hotels, the group will camp out each night and cook their own food as part of the ‘survival’ style experience.

Nick Sowerby told us “We’re very excited about the walk. It’s in respect of an amazing cause and for something that means a lot to me personally.”

Nick and his colleagues are fabulous supporters of The Bulldogs travelling to away games from their base at The Woodman pub.

Your support for a fantastic cause would be massively appreciated. Please see below for the Just Giving site details:
