After having John Kear at the helm for the last 5 years we are about to start a new era in the history of the Club with a new Head Coach in Matt Diskin.

Most supporters will be aware of him as a player with Leeds for 10 years and later with Bradford Bulls as well as representing England and Great Britain coincidentally under John Kear as England Coach in 2003. However, he is only 34 years old and this is his first appointment as a Head Coach but he has certainly played under some of the best coaches around and the Club are delighted to have such an up and coming English Coach with exciting ideas leading us into next season.

He commenced his tenure at the Bulldogs on 1st November and met the players to commence pre-season training on 2nd November and the Club would then like to introduce him to supporters on Thursday 10th November.

The evening will commence at 7.30pm in Ron’s Lounge for a social get together of anyone at the Club who wishes to attend. Matt will then outline his plans and take questions about anything to do with Rugby to enable everyone to get to know him at the beginning of what we hope will be an exciting period for the Club.

So we hope to see as many as possible there as everybody is welcome and the bar will be open all evening. In addition we hope to have Season tickets on sale, subject to the printers meeting our deadline. So that’s THURSDAY 10th NOVEMBER at 7.30pm in RON’S LOUNGE
